AUG 21-23, 2017 Hanoi, Vietnam After leaving DC Saturday afternoon, Aug 19, 2107, for JFK we flew JFK – Hong Kong – Hanoi, arriving Monday morning Aug 21. Long trip, loosing 12 hrs along the way. We traveled with Kathleen and David Keys and joined Anne Purvis at the Intercontinental Hanoi in the mid afternoon.
Day 16 – To Istanbul and heading Home (Nov 26) Happy Thanksgiving to all! This will likely be the last post of this trip. We spend all day tomorrow traveling back to the US. I don’t expect anything strange or fun to report……We need a wake up at 6:45 to catch a cab to Ataturk
Day 15 – Sirince Village walk about (Nov 25) Today is a quiet day, getting ready to start our travels home. We had a late breakfast and wandered off to the village around noon. It’s a 15 minute walk and not too steep in either direction. A nice change. We walked most of the “downtown” streets
