South Dakota/Iowa 2019

Previous Next    AUG 11, 2019 – to Fargo, SD     We leave the beautiful park on Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota for a day long drive to Fargo, ND.  We drove across the long earthen dam that creates the Lake. The scenery of the drive was not impressive – acres and acres of farmlands.

Previous Next   AUG 6, 2019 – Medora, ND  After about 3 hours we found a portion of the Theodore Roosevelt NP on I94 near Medora, ND.  The visitor center and views/vistas from Painted Canyon overlook were terrific. Shadehill Recreation Area South Dakota

AUG 3, 2019 – Shadehill, SD  Onto a SD recreation site – Shadehill which is alongside a dam created reservoir. There are some trees but we didn’t get one so we used the AC at night. Seems to work well and is effective in cooling things down from the upper 80s to low 70s for
